Emergency Room

Title Sequence

2026

Overview
"Emergency Room" is a motion piece exploring the moment when perception collapses and where clarity fades. It should feel like life and death, awareness and unconsciousness, beginning to blur. The concept draws from the fragmented experience of drifting in and out of consciousness, referencing the tension and instability of a medical emergency. Inspired by Dumb Type's OR exhibit at Haus der Kunst, the project builds on the collective’s approach to immersive media where the viewer isn’t just watching, but experiencing. Their work examines how digital environments reshape perception, which directly informed the way this piece manipulates pacing, rhythm, and visual clarity.

My Role
I executed the research and concept behind the sequince, with influence from the OR exhibit. I was in charge of the visual consistency, videography, typography, animated aspects, and video editing process. The final piece creates a controlled sense of disorientation with its flashy transitions and grain effect. It reflects distortion and how thin the line is between being present and slipping away.
