Context
Polario is a hard seltzer brand built for early drinkers who seek connection and celebrate life’s moments. Positioned around shared experiences, the brand encourages people to come together, be present, and turn everyday hangouts into something memorable. At its core, Polario is about individuality, captured through the idea of “finding your true north.” The concept is rooted in the symbolism of Polaris, the North Star historically used for navigation. This idea translates into a brand that guides social experiences, helping people find their circle. In a crowded beverage market dominated by safe, minimal aesthetics, Polario positions itself as bold, expressive, and unapologetically social.
The Challenge
The challenge was to create a brand identity that could stand out in an oversaturated hard seltzer market while still feeling authentic to its audience. The identity needed to feel loud and attention-grabbing, but not lose its sense of connection and meaning. It also had to translate across multiple touchpoints—from packaging to promotional content—while maintaining a cohesive and recognizable system.
The Solution
I designed 3 can labels for different flavours, a 4 pack box for 1 of the flavours, and created some promotional assets as well. Polario stands out as a high-energy, socially driven brand in the hard seltzer space. The identity captures attention immediately while reinforcing a deeper message about connection and shared experiences. By grounding the concept in the idea of “true north,” the brand creates a memorable narrative that extends beyond the product. Turning every gathering into a moment worth navigating toward.
